Women's Association of Morristown Medical Center Raises Funds and Awareness for Women's Heal

Morristown, NJ, May 5, 2015 – The Women’s Association of Morristown Medical Center (WAMMC) celebrated spring and successfully raised funds in support of women’s health at their Honey Brunch event held on Friday, May 1, 2015 at Fiddler’s Elbow Country Club, Bedminster, NJ. Funds raised will go toward the WAMMC pledge of $80,000 to purchase the Affirm Breast Biopsy Guidance System.
Dr. Paul Friedman, Medical Director of the Carol W. and Julius A. Rippel Breast Center at Morristown Medical Center was a guest speaker and provided an overview of the Rippel Breast Center and its highly acclaimed technology. He extended his appreciation for WAMMC’s ongoing support of the Center by raising funds at the Honey Brunch to help acquire the Affirm Breast Biopsy Guidance System.
The Affirm Breast Biopsy Guidance System for the Rippel Breast Center at Morristown Medical Center, one of the first facilities in the country to acquire this state-of-the-art medical equipment, is a new minimally invasive technology that has been developed to allow 3D equipment to transition from diagnostic to intervention mode in just minutes.
The 260 attendees at the Honey Brunch were treated to a delightfully themed Beauty, Brains and Blooms of Honey Bees to include a delicious brunch, a lecture on the benefits of honey bees. shopping at some of the finest vendors in the area and a silent auction and raffle with fabulous prizes.

Once again, our volunteers have contributed their time and expertise to make our Honey Brunch event a success – all in support of women’s health,” said Dannette Merchant, President, Women’s Association of Morristown Medical Center.
