Anne Rooke
Co-Chair
Long Range Planning
As a nurse, I have always been drawn to hospitals. When I retired from my career to raise my family, volunteering for Morristown Medical Center (MMC) seemed like a natural choice. I joined the Board of the Women’s Association in 1989 and multiple committees and fundraisers later, I am still contributing with passion! I served as president from 2003 to 2005 and co-chaired Mansion in May in 2010 with my OLDER sister Susan Bruen. Mansion in May takes time and effort but it is also a lot of fun working shoulder to shoulder with new and old friends and witnessing the mansion’s transformation. I was honored to receive the Eleanor Award, the highest honor given by the Women’s Association to one of its members, for my dedicated service and leadership to the organization. I also represented MMC at the state level as a member of the NJ Hospital Association, Council of Auxiliaries. In 2010, the Foundation for Morristown Medical Center awarded me the Augustus Stone Award for exemplary service and dedication to the hospital. I was an inaugural community member of Morristown Medical Center’s Healthcare Advisory Board and served as its chairman from 2008 to 2013. It was a privilege to serve on the Atlantic Health System Board of Trustees from 2008 to 2019 and I was honored to be named the NJ Healthcare System Trustee of the Year by the NJ Hospital Association. I am currently the co-chair of the Long Range Planning Committee and look forward to continuing to make an impact in my community and my local hospital through this amazing organization.
