Barbara Ruane is honored to serve as the 42nd President of the Women’s Association for Morristown Medical Center. A dedicated member of the Association for more than 13 years, she has been privileged to serve in a variety of leadership roles, including four years as Vice President of Healing Services. Barbara also had the honor of co-chairing Three Fields, Mansion in May 2023, and Wildfair, Mansion in May 2025, two of the Association’s signature fundraising events that support exceptional patient care at Morristown Medical Center. In recognition of her outstanding volunteer service and unwavering commitment to the Association’s mission, she was presented with the prestigious Busy Bee Award.

Barbara is deeply grateful for the opportunity to lead an organization whose 133-year legacy of philanthropy has made a lasting difference in the lives of countless patients and families. She considers it a privilege to work alongside the remarkable women of the Women’s Association, whose generosity, compassion, and dedication continue to strengthen both the hospital and the community it serves. As an active member of the Cromwell Olive Twig, Barbara is proud to continue the tradition of service established by the generations of volunteers who came before her and looks forward to helping guide the Association into its next chapter.
