Caregiver Kits
Chatham Twig members had a productive day assembling caregiver kits for Goryeb Children's Hospital. Often times parents/caregivers have unexpected overnight stays at the hospital and these kits - filled with an array of personal care items - really come in handy. Everyone deserves some TLC!
Superbowl Party
Chatham Twig members had a great time volunteering at the annual Superbowl party at Goryeb Children’s Hospital. Between the festive decorations, delicious food, and fun activities, patients, caregivers, staff, and volunteers had a blast. These parties are wonderful diversions for pediatric patients facing medical uncertainty. Football definitely brought out the smiles!

Valentine's Day Goody Bags
Valentine’s Day goody bags for pediatric patients at Goryeb Children's Hospital? That’s no issue for the Chatham Twig! Their members had so much fun finding cute items to surprise the kids and assembling a ton of bags to distribute. What a way to make pediatric patients feel the love!

Vision Board Fundraiser
What an inspiring night the Chatham Twig had recently at their vision board fundraiser! An intimate group shared lots of thoughts about womanhood and the future, and some wonderful connections were made. There were warm feelings all around as the event benefited the Twig’s annual pediatric nursing scholarship at Goryeb Children's Hospital. A special time indeed - both friendraiser and fundraiser!

Cooler Bags for Nursing Moms
What a joy it is that the Chatham Twig can quickly help Goryeb Children's Hospital when there is an immediate need. They recently learned from NICU Child Life contact Stacey Schneider (pictured), that they only had two bottle bags left in their stash. These cooler bags are integral for nursing moms when their babies are being transferred between institutions or are being sent out for medical procedures. The NICU’s Lactation Consultant and Discharge Coordinator distribute these to families who might not otherwise be able to afford them. Maintaining this mom/baby connection is so important and we are thrilled we could purchase 15 bags and deliver them within 24 hours. That’s an easy lift with a big impact!
Refueling Kits for Caregivers
Chatham Twig volunteers had a productive afternoon making another set of caregiver kits for Goryeb Children's Hospital. This time they were filled with “fueling” items to help caregivers power through long days at the hospital with their children. Think granola bars, protein pouches, pressed fruit, electrolyte powder, trail mix, beef stick, crackers, gum, water bottle, etc. They will definitely come in handy! The Twig gave much-needed energy boosts to drained family members of pediatric patients!
Mother's Day Goody Bags
Mother’s Day was celebrated by the Chatham Twig by making 100 goody bags for moms/grandmoms/caregivers who have pediatric patients at Goryeb Children's Hospital. Members generously donated all the items for the bags to make these women feel loved and appreciated. It takes a village and the Chatham Twig is grateful for their terrific one!
