MORRISTOWN, NJ, May 20, 2019 – The Women’s Association for Morristown Medical Center (WAMMC) is pleased to announce it raised over $110,000 at its Country Bluegrass Bash held on May 10, 2019. The funds raised will be directed towards building and outfitting a newly renovated room in the Foley Pediatric Intensive Care Unit in Goryeb Children’s Hospital at Morristown Medical Center.
The “Country Bluegrass Bash” was hosted at the Park Avenue Club in Florham Park, New Jersey. More than 200 guests enjoyed a fun-filled evening with down-home country cuisine and fiddling by The Badly Bent Band, who played traditional bluegrass music. Co-chaired by Katie Nolle and Marsha Wolfson, the event also featured a Wine Pull and Raffle Prizes, thanks to the generous contributions from WAMMC members, local supporters and sponsors.
“We are proud to continue to support Morristown Medical Center’s ongoing efforts to advance children’s health care in our community. We are equally proud of and extremely grateful to all of the volunteers who continue to live our motto of ‘Contributing with Passion’ and who helped make this fundraiser to benefit the Foley Pediatric Intensive Care Unit such a great success,” said Mary Courtemanche, President, Women’s Association for Morristown Medical Center.
“We are grateful to the Women’s Association for their ongoing support and for choosing our Foley Pediatric Intensive Care Unit as the beneficiary for this fundraising event, said Dr. Walter Rosenfeld, Chair of Pediatrics, Goryeb Children’s Hospital. “Their generous pledge for our expansion will position Goryeb Children’s Hospital for the next decade and enable us to keep our promise to provide the highest quality care for our most fragile patients."
