MORRISTOWN, NJ, May 19, 2026 – The Women’s Association for Morristown Medical Center (WAMMC) is pleased to announce its 2026 Scholarship Awards. WAMMC Scholarships are awarded each year to outstanding Atlantic Health Morristown Medical Center team members to help further their continuing education, development and leadership skills in the hospital and health care field.
WAMMC’s Scholarship Program, which dates back to 1957, supports the staff at Atlantic Health Morristown Medical Center by granting scholarships to hospital team members pursuing careers in the health care field. WAMMC Scholarship recipients are chosen based on applicants’ demonstration of extraordinary care and service to patients, their peers, colleagues and the community.
In 2026, WAMMC’s six-member Scholarship Awards Committee awarded $74,000 in scholarships to 37 employees working toward a Bachelor’s, Master’s, Doctoral Degree or Associate's Degree in Nursing, and includes $2,000 contributed by WAMMC’s Cromwell Olive Twig and $2,000 by WAMMC’s Chatham Twig. WAMMC awarded $66,000 in scholarships to 33 recipients in 2025, $50,000 to 25 recipients in both 2024 and 2023 and $28,000 to 14 recipients in 2022.
“WAMMC’s Scholarship Program for health care professionals continues to be a very important part of our mission to support Atlantic Health Morristown Medical Center’s goal of providing superior health services to our community,” said Dale Scolnick, President, Women’s Association for Morristown Medical Center. “WAMMC’s ongoing commitment to this Scholarship Program can be attributed to successful fundraising and the generous contributions of its members.”
“We are extremely grateful to the Women's Association for its ongoing commitment to this Scholarship Program,” said Trish O’Keefe, PhD, RN, President of Atlantic Health Morristown Medical Center. “Continuing education is critically important in order to provide high-quality and innovative care to our patients. This program provides a huge advantage to our team members who obtain advanced skills that make Atlantic Health Morristown Medical Center among the very best in the country.”
