MORRISTOWN, NJ, July 17, 2025 – The Women’s Association for Morristown Medical Center (WAMMC) is pleased to announce its 2025 Scholarship Awards. WAMMC Scholarships are awarded each year to outstanding Morristown Medical Center team members to help further their continuing education, development and leadership skills in the hospital and health care field.

WAMMC’s Scholarship Program, which dates back to 1957, supports the staff at Morristown Medical Center by granting scholarships to hospital team members pursuing careers in the health care field. WAMMC Scholarship recipients are chosen based on applicants’ demonstration of extraordinary care and service to patients, their peers, colleagues and the community.

In 2025, WAMMC’s eight-member Scholarship Awards Committee awarded $66,000 in scholarships to 33 employees working toward a Bachelor’s, Master’s or Doctoral degree, of which $2,000 was contributed by WAMMC’s Cromwell Olive Twig. WAMMC awarded $50,000 in scholarships to 25 recipients in both 2024 and 2023, and $28,000 to 14 recipients in 2022.

“WAMMC’s Scholarship Program for health care professionals continues to be a very important part of our mission to support Morristown Medical Center’s goal of providing superior health services to our community,” said Dale Scolnick, President, Women’s Association for Morristown Medical Center. “Our longstanding commitment to this Scholarship Program can be attributed to successful fundraising and the generous contributions of our donors and members, which enable us to support employees who are working toward attaining their advanced health-care-related education.”

“We are beyond appreciative of the Women's Association's unwavering support and commitment to their Scholarship Program,” said Trish O’Keefe, PhD, RN, President of Morristown Medical Center. “This program enables our team members to continue their education, advance their clinical expertise and grow from valuable learning opportunities, all of which are vital to ensuring we continue to provide the highest quality care to our patients here at Morristown Medical Center.”
