BLUE SKIES VIRTUAL 2021 SPRING FUNDRAISER TO SUPPORT

MENTAL HEALTH INITIATIVES FOR ATLANTIC BEHAVIORAL HEALTH

AT MORRISTOWN MEDICAL CENTER

MORRISTOWN, NJ – April 5, 2021 – The Women’s Association for Morristown Medical Center (WAMMC) is pleased to announce Blue Skies, its Virtual 2021Spring Fundraiser to support the mental health initiatives for Atlantic Behavioral Health at Morristown Medical Center.

The COVID-19 pandemic has swept our nation and the focus on mental health initiatives has become even more critical. Over the last year, growing numbers of community members have turned to Atlantic Behavioral Health at Morristown Medical Center to help them cope with the emotional impact of this health crisis.

WAMMC’s first-ever virtual fundraiser in support of Atlantic Behavioral Health’s initiatives consists of three components to support this cause – a Blue Skies raffle ticket with five attractive prizes, an Online Silent Auction from April 19 through April 30, 2021 and direct donations by accessing our website at www.wammc.org. Raffle tickets are available by contacting our WAMMC office at 973-971-5480. The Online Silent Auction includes a collection of over 75 items, including unique travel adventures, fine jewelry, high-tech gadgets, sports memorabilia and several priceless experiences.

“Mental health impacts each of us daily. We need to reinforce that seeking help is a sign of strength not weakness. We’re all feeling the emotional effects from the isolation of COVID-19, but hope is on the horizon,” said Katie Nolle, President, Women’s Association for Morristown Medical Center. “We are pleased and proud to help support Morristown Medical Center’s ongoing efforts to address the growing demand for the services provided by its behavioral health programs.”

“We are grateful to the Women’s Association for their ongoing support and for choosing our Behavioral Health initiatives at Morristown Medical Center as the beneficiary for this virtual fundraising event,” said Thomas Zaubler, MD, Chairman, Morristown Medical Center’s Behavioral Medicine Program. “The pandemic has had major effects on our lives. For some, it has created new stressors – anxiety, fear and grief – and for others it has exacerbated existing conditions like depression or substance abuse. The good news is people today are more willing to openly discuss their challenges and ask for help.”
